Green Gables Kindergarten
Exceptional Early Childhood Education & Care for Over 50 Years

Why Choose Green Gables

At Green Gables, we believe children thrive in an environment built on respect, trust, and strong parent partnerships. As a family-run kindergarten with more than 50 years of history, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing space where children feel confident, secure, and ready to learn.

Our focus is on creating predictable routines and caring relationships, so every child develops a strong sense of belonging and wellbeing.

  • Learning Environment
Our learning spaces are designed to support every stage of early development.
  • Indoors: Age-specific classrooms that foster curiosity, independence, and creativity. Each room is run by qualified Early Childhood Teachers who guide children through play-based learning.
  • Outdoors: A secure, spacious area where children can explore, build physical confidence, and enjoy imaginative play in nature.

Educational Philosophy & Curriculum

We proudly follow the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), which supports children in developing identity, wellbeing, communication, and a love for learning. Our approach evolves as children grow:
  • For infants, we draw on Educaring (Magda Gerber) principles to encourage independence and respect.
  • For preschoolers, we incorporate Montessori-inspired practices, preparing them for school and lifelong learning.

Healthy Meals & Nutrition

Children at Green Gables enjoy nutritious, freshly prepared meals and snacks throughout the day.

  • Our menu is crafted by Kids Gourmet Food and rotates every six weeks.

  • Meals cater to a wide range of dietary needs, including allergies and halal.

  • Educators join children at mealtimes, modelling healthy eating habits and fostering a positive food culture.

Qualified Educators & Support Team

Our dedicated team is the heart of Green Gables. Many of our educators are parents themselves, bringing empathy and understanding to their care.

  • All educators hold recognised early childhood qualifications and certifications in First Aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis management.
  • We work with visiting specialists including occupational therapists, speech pathologists, child psychologists, and paediatricians.
  • Families can also access support through KU Inclusion and NDIS services.

Government Fee Assistance

Green Gables Kindergarten is an approved long-day care service, which means families may be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) through Centrelink.

Your actual fees will depend on your household income, activity hours, and CCS entitlements. We recommend checking your eligibility directly with Centrelink. Our team is also happy to assist with questions about the subsidy.
